Cafémutual conducted its annual knowledge sharing session with Mutual Fund industry bigwigs and for the fifth instalment, the brand decided to partner with A For Pineapple for to execute the vision. AFP won the pitch on the basis of its creative and experiential ideas.Titled CIFA 2018, the event took place on February 23, 2018 at Jade Ballroom, Sahara Star, Mumbai and witnessed an attendance from over 500 industry experts.

The concept for the event was a TED talk-inspired setup, bringing together the top names from the mutual fund industry under one roof. A specially choreographed experiential event was delivered in limited time by team AFP. 

The event was a serious business affair where 24 speakers, comprising of CEO’s and MD’s of biggest corporates of India would be talking about various aspects of the Mutual Fund business. The event was highly corporate and hence, AFP to bring in a small dose of personal touch. The agency choreographed unique speaker introductions where the announcer spoke about the speaker’s hobbies, dreams and personal lives while a digital caricature of the speaker was being drawn on the big screen. There was also a pre-function area where a digital caricature artist created instant caricatures of the guests attending.

A speaker lounge was created for the eminent speakers to relax and prepare for their upcoming sessions. After every session speaker bytes were taken and they were felicitated with their framed caricature as a memento.

Annu Anand, MD & Chief Catalyst, AFP said “The giant set-up had to be elegantly designed and that would normally take longer than usual. But due to back-to-back events at the hotel, there wasn’t much setup time allotted. Considering the stature of the event and the attendees we had to finish the giant setup on time. Also there were 24 back-to-back sessions and a delay in one would delay the subsequent sessions and hence multiple rehearsals had to be done post setup that too in the limited time. But with vigorous planning and past experience, AFP was able to finish all the pre-requisites in just 7 hours.”

AFP constructed a TED talk-inspired setup .In the pre-function area a digital caricature artist created instant caricatures of the guests attending.
