The Sunday of January 14, 2018, turned Funday for the team at Toast Events, as they organised the launch of Miss Malini’s book #ToTheMoon. Miss Malini’s first attempt at writing a book, was successfully celebrated as the turnout for the launch event featured the who’s who of Bollywood.
Bringing in elements that resonate with Miss Malini, Toast Events created experiences for the guests to take back and make this launch one to be remembered forever. Hosting the event at the gorgeous Estella, the guests sashayed down the pink carpet onto the deck as they were welcomed by a larger than life pink rocket.

Through the afternoon as the party continued, celebs made quite the appearance at the photobooth as they took fun pictures with their friends along with some of their favorite emoticons. While thematic cocktails were served with a conversation started coaster, giving the guests a sneak into some cool content from the book.
Launching the book, a launch sequence announcement followed by a countdown that was chanted by the entire audience, gave life to the rocket as smoke and music built the perfect tempo for the launch. The rocket launched in a cloud of smoke, unveiling a larger than life cover of the book.

The event was attended by many Bollywood celebrities and socialites, some of these included Shilpa & Shamita Shetty, Diana Penty, Anupam Kher, Adhuna Bhabani, Anupama Chopra, Devraj Sanyal, Shibani Dandekar, Karan Tacker and others.
Commenting on the event, Zeeon Rodrigues – Operations Lead said, the launch had to be different than what was being done by others. We wanted to make something cool and yet fit Miss Malini’s personality. Taking an element from her book and her Blog, we made a larger than life rocket and gave it life as it took off to the moon, revealing a larger than life book. While planning this, we had a few challenges that we had to work with. The launch was on the seaside and therefore we needed to consider wind factors for the unveiling. The rocket was also 6 feet tall hence, working around the logistics of the venue, ensuring we had a great lift off. And the cherry on the icing, the smoke; we had to make this cool and real, hence planning enough smoke for thrust, without seeing any wirework given the open space that we were working with. All in all, it was a great event and guests left with nothing but the best experience.”
