Nas Daily, a famous Facebook video blogger is best known for traveling around the world and making one-minute videos that turn into viral content on social media, consumed by over 2.3 million in the audience.
Recently, when Nas expressed the desire to attend an Indian Wedding to get a feel of the Indian culture, nobody imagined what was about to transpire. Nas collaborated with DNA Entertainment Networks and along with his girlfriend ended up staging an actual Indian wedding with his die-hard Indian fans in attendance.
The entire event from planning to execution was all achieved in less than 4 days by DNA and covered Baraat, Bride entry on a boat and Doli, Vidhi, Lunch, Sangeet Pool Party, Reception, and Dinner. Interestingly, all of this was achieved under the budget of only USD 400.
Transport was organized for fans coming from Mumbai and Pune who didn't have private transport and carpools were encouraged.
As of today, the video has already gone viral and has generated over half a million views and thousands who have either commented or shared.
When asked whether Nas and his girlfriend actually got married, Anand Nigam, General Manager – DNA Entertainment Network, Mumbai replied with an emphatic No and said, “The video was shot the way any work of fiction would just like our Bollywood.”
He further added, “We are very proud of having done a first of a kind collaboration with a Global Social Media Star. This man makes 1-minute videos every day of his life and has about 2.3 Million highly engaging fans following from around the world. He is in India for 20 days and wanted to make a video on Indian Wedding and we threw him one big fat staged Indian destination wedding and invited all his fans to grace the occasion as guests. Through this initiative, we at DNA aim at encouraging brands to come on board and create engaging content in collaboration with relevant social media stars to reach out to a specific audience.”
