Adidas Launches PureBOOST Series with an Offbeat Street Run in Mumbai

adidas took over the Mumbai streets recently for an exciting urban discovery & street performance to celebrate the launch of new PureBOOST shoe series. With the global launch of the shoe series, runners across the world are making cities their playground and the launch of PureBOOST witnessed Mumbai runners exploring nooks and corners of their city.

Jagran Solutions (A Unit of Jagran Prakashan Ltd.) handled the complete run for Adidas, starting from ideating the Urban Running concept, planning the routes, arranging the permissions, managing the security to even crafting the launch moment at the culmination point.

Speaking on the requirements of the event, Rohit Arora, Senior Account Manager, Jagran Solutions said, “We were entrusted with the responsibility of devising the running routes interestingly – that too at night with no lights. The challenging task was to have 3 different routes for 3 different teams all of which would meet at the final culmination venue.”

To mark the launch of PureBOOST, participant squads led by actor and TV presenter Karan Wahi, actor and VJ Luke Kenny and model Karan Medappa hit downtown Bandra with no pre-defined routes, but aimed only with a general sense of direction and markers. For over 10 odd kilometres, the three teams including 40 runners, put PureBOOST to the test on city streets as  runners zipped past, jumped over, wove through and side-stepped their way to discovering their city in a new light. This one-of-a-kind event finally concluded in the iconic amphitheatre on Carter Road.
