JK Tyre Engages Parliamentarians and Dignitaries with the CCI Car Rally

On December 11, 2016 Brandwidth Events managed the JK Tyre CCI Car Rally for Parliamentarians at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi (where the flag-off took place) and later on culminated at the JW Marriott Hotel New Delhi Aerocity where members of Parliament came together to attend the prestigious event. The core theme of the Time-Speed-Distance rally was road safety.

Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman and Managing Director of JK Tyre & Industries said, "It goes with our mission of Total Control. The idea is to show that you can drive safely and responsibly. It is also to remember all the Law makers who lost their lives in road accidents."

The Constitutional Club of India, along with JK Tyres has worked hand in hand to promote awareness about the event and its mission. Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister of State (Independent charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, who is also the CCI Secretary (Admin), has been the brain behind it.

The flag off took place with a 61-car field that rallied through the roads of Delhi with many spectators who cheered and applauded the participants. The rally was flagged off by VP Singh Badnore, the Governor of Punjab, to the melodious tunes of the army band. Over 60 teams participated, including 175 Parliamentarians, diplomats, media, PSUs and armed forces personnel.

The rally finally concluded at the JW Marriot Hotel New Delhi Aerocity for the award ceremony which kicked off with a phenomenal and power-packed performance by the National Award, IIFA and Screen Award-winning singer Monali Thakur. Later on, a touching documentary was played which paid tribute to politicians who have lost their lives in road accidents. It featured public figures such as former President Gyani Zail Singh, Gopinath Munde, Rajesh Pilot followed by several other prominent Lawmakers who lost their lives in road accidents.

As the AV came to an end, Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, was called upon stage to address the gathering alongside Rajiv Pratap Rudy, CCI Secretary, to honor the Chief Guest Sumitra Mahajan, Lok Sabha Speaker, accompanied by the dignitaries to felicitate and award the winners of the respective car rally.

The extravagant evening ended with yet another splendid performance by Monali Thakur who once again rocked the stage with her sensational voice and talent.

Keeping the brand and the theme of the event in mind, the décor and set-up was done in a subtle way, yet with the right degree of pomp. From the arch gates to the setup of the stage, all the décor elements were well-synchronized.
