Being held from January 5 to 8, the summit promises to bring together musicians, artists, techies, designers, entrepreneurs for an ultimate immersive learning experience.

In an exclusive conversation with EVENTFAQS, Anto Philip and Shreyans Jain, Co-Founders of the property talk about what’s in store for the upcoming edition of the event, brand associations, financial viability and more.

How was the idea to produce the Under 25 Summit conceptualized in the first place?

The Under 25 Summit was put together to create a festival that the youth could call their own. We tried to curate various different experiences at the Summit that could cover different passions and interests that the youth have today. If you are a musician, a designer, a food enthusiast, a traveler, a tech wizard or even a storyteller, there is something for every one of these youngsters and more. The 50+ experience zones at the Summit ensure a stellar time for anyone who comes.

From young speakers like Nihal Raj, who is India’s youngest chef to Arnab Goswami, one of the nation’s top journalists to Karun Nair, who recently scored a triple century, we’ve gotten influencers from all walks of life.

It was conceptualized to create the largest congregation millennials from around the country and build a platform for the youth to express themselves in more ways than one.

What’s in store for the audiences at the upcoming fourth edition of the festival?

The sessions at the summit will be conducted by a wide range of speakers and over 200+ speakers have been confirmed to participate including the likes of Arnab Goswami, Tanmay Bhat, Kenny Sebastian (Standup Set), Ajay Nair, Reshma Qureshi, Nihal Raj, Mallika Dua.

The summit days are categorized into Tech, Design, Food and the Finale, which include workshops, masterclasses, panel discussions, music acts, art projects held in some of the best creative spaces in the city.

Tech day titled Esc covers topics such as ‘Hacks of the Trade’ by Krish Ashok. CMYK (design day) is created to be an artist/designers’ paradise where one could dive into the world of illustrations, animation, sustainable fashion or street art with the most progressive names in the design world.

Gravy Train is a unique culinary experience like no other. Focused around the theme of a one stop station for all your food cravings, the food stalls are designed to look like bogies of a train. Various masterclasses from industry experts will also be a major highlight of the day.

Additionally, we will have a stage under the tree where we’re having an open mic session, a stage to share your stories called ‘Travel Diaries’ where young travelers will be able to talk about their adventures, we have various picnic spots throughout the festival for people to just sit down and have a good time, we’re curating different fusion foods at the venue, there are music performances by Lagori, Parvaaz, Skrat and Fanculos. We also have various adventure activities, an open canvas for the artists, community colouring, pop up libraries, a recording studio in the open, speed networking zones and so much more!

Comment on the profitability of the property? Are any brand sponsorships in place?

Yes, we’ve been fortunate enough for large brands to believe in this festival. We have Asianet Newsable, Radio Indigo, Colors Infinity and the International Institute of Digital Technologies (IIDT) supporting the Under 25 Summit.

How has the property grown over the years and what are your future plans in terms of expansion?

Our festivals are created with the youth at the crux and since it is by the youth and for the youth, the result is magical.  In the next two years, we want to take the Under 25 Summit to 29 cities in India and consequently host our various properties in international cities as well. Singapore and Indonesia are on the cards for 2017 as well.

The co-founders of the property spill the beans on what’s in store for the upcoming edition of the event, brand associations and financial viability.
