Alto Delhi Comic Con India Returns for its Sixth Edition at NSIC Grounds Okhla

Comic Con India is back with its 6th edition of Alto Delhi Comic Con which will take place from December 9 to 11 between 11 AM to 8 P.M at NSIC Grounds Okhla. Maruti Suzuki Alto is the presenting sponsor of all the Comic Con India shows this calendar year which includes Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Alto Delhi Comic Con 2016 claims to be bigger and better with a truly enhanced fan experience. This year’s action packed show features the best of Comics, Merchandise, Toys, Experiential & Gaming Zones, International Guests, Meet & Greet Sessions, Gaming, Fan Meet-ups & Much More.

Like every year, DCC will feature special guests and has arranged for meet-and-greets for fans. Famous international personalities like Paul Blackthorne - British born actor who plays Quentin Lance on the CW’s hit series 'Arrow'; Erik Larsen - Co-founder of Image Comics, an American cartoonist known for his work on Savage Dragon and Spider-Man for Marvel Comics and Tom Richmond- Caricaturist, Cartoonist and humorous illustrator, for MAD Magazine, Cartoon Network, National Geographic and many more will be attending and taking special sessions at DCC 2016.

DJ Elliot, The Official Walt Disney World DJ! is coming to entertain the audience at Alto Delhi Comic Con 2016 too.

Speaking about the upcoming edition, Jatin Varma, Founder, Comic Con India said, “We head into our 6th year in Delhi, bigger & better than ever before! This is the biggest convention we have ever organized, with tons of new exhibitors, activities and exclusives! We have a lot more on offer for fans and we hope to provide Delhi its biggest pop-culture event of the year!”

Highlights

Cosplay (Costume Contest), one of the major attractions at Comic Con India, will continue to give assured prizes to people in great costumes. Comic Con India under its 5 categories -1. Comic book/graphic novel 2. Animated Series/Movie 3. Manga/Anime 4. Sci-Fi/Fantasy and 5. Gaming will choose one winner in each category each day. Also, 5 Cosplayers will get a voucher of INR 2500 (each) for their Spirit of Cosplay.

Each day, one lucky winner out of the chosen 5 will get an awesome chance to win INR 50000 (Cash Prize) and to enter in ‘Indian Championships of Cosplay’. The Winner of ‘Indian Championships of Cosplay’ will compete and represent the country at the Annual Crown Championships of Cosplay at Chicago Comics & Entertainment Expo! 

Comic Con India also brings a special treat for all the tech and gaming enthusiasts in Delhi this year. There will be exclusive Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Experience Zone will also have an awesome experiential zone for fans, with art installations and gaming.

Nodwin ESL Gaming Zone will host ESL India Premiership, which is a mix of online and offline tournaments, monumental prize pool, daily content, celebrity showdowns, cosplay competition and many more. At Alto Delhi Comic Con 2016, fans will witness the Final leg of the offline tournaments of the ESL India Premiership, where the champions of last three Starter Cups will compete on a bigger stage, for more prize money and larger audience.

Other exclusive Experiential Zones at Alto Delhi Comic Con includes AXN Zone & Rogue One - A Stars Wars Story. AXN Zone will have lots of fun engagements with a chance to win some cool goodies. Fans can witness some of their favourite characters like Sam & Dean, Sherlock, Heisenberg, Dexter etc. come alive and engage with them in the most fun-filled way! And Rogue One - A Stars Wars Story, will be celebrating their upcoming movie.

Alto Delhi Comic Con will also feature a first of its kind WWE Zone. The WWE experience will have a grand stage complete with a huge LED wall that will allow fans to select their favourite WWE Superstar’s entrance music, as they make their way down the specially created ramp. WWE is giving fans a never-before, unmatched experience; a chance to feel, act, and enter the ring just like their favourite WWE Superstar!

Fans will find an “Artist Alley” at the DCC 2016. It is a zone, exclusively featuring artists from all over India and Delhi. It will give fans an opportunity to interact with awesome artists, illustrators, designers working for comics and related fields. The alley will feature artists & creators like Saumin Patel, Aniruddho Chakraborty, Akshay Dhar, Shamik Dasgupta, Rajeev Tamahakar, Sumit Kumar, Parmi Jethwani, Reshmi Chandrashekhar, Nikita Das Gupta, Rohit Soni, Rohan Bhatia and many more.

For the sheer love for Comics, around 10 new Comic Book titles will get launched at the convention. Comic Con India is part of the Reedpop family of events, which is dedicated to producing world-class celebrations of popular culture around the world with events like New York Comic Con, Oz Comic Con, Shanghai Comic Con, Star Wars Celebration among many others.
