Smartphone brand Meizu organised a Fan Meet in Bangalore on October 24 at Hoppipola followed by the launch of the M3s at Hyatt Regency, Delhi on October 26, and roped in Cream Events to execute these events.

“Meizu launch and fan meets were all about a quick turnaround for a client new to the Indian Environment. Our relation with Meizu is bound to grow after the management of these shows,” said Tanmay Oberoi, Manager - Client Servicing, Cream Events.

The Fan Meet

The agency was given the mandate to plan and manage Meizu’s first fan meet in Bangalore called the Flyer Meet, which the brand intends to replicate in multiple cities. Since the ask was to make the meet interactive, fun and exciting for the fans, the team conceptualized and executed a mini Olympics for this experience.  The venue selection was key as the event demanded a venue that could house all activities planned for the Meizu Olympics.

Hopipola, a popular café and bar, was the perfect venue owing to its raw look and open atmosphere. The event commenced with brand presentations, followed by a variety of games like archery, basketball, golf and darts to keep the guests engaged and entertained. Quirky photos at the photo booth summed up the exciting evening with guests carrying back pictures and memories.

Meizu M3 Launch

After the success of the Bangalore fan meet, Cream was entrusted with the responsibility to conceptualize the launch of the Meizu M3s in Delhi. The task included highlighting all features of the phone and conceptualizing a creative way to launch the phones. The entire affair was pulled off 3 days. As a focus area, the agency showcased the new handset in different colours as featured models at a fashion show. A ramp with customized display tables for the phones was created as an extension to the stage, while models walked the ramp to unveil the product. The event was attended by the media and key B2B guests.

Cream Events managed the Fan Meet at Hoppipola on October 24, followed by the launch event at the Hyatt Regency, Delhi October 26.
