HARMAN Debuts its DJ Arena at the Indian DJ Expo 2016

HARMAN Professional Solutions organised its first Harman DJ Arena at the Indian DJ expo 2016 held from June 30 – July 2, at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The platform was created by Harman Professional India to showcase the best talent in the DJ community, at the event attended by entertainment professionals from across the country. 

The platform was divided into three parts. During the first half, the Harman officials showcased their sound and light solutions catering to different needs of the market live on demo, followed by a 2 hour DJ competition where 9 DJ’s from the EDM genre competed over 3 days, and then the culminating headliner act by some of the well known EDM DJ’s in India. 

The four sound solutions from the JBL Marquis range were on display at the arena — the MD7 dual 18" subwoofer system, the high power MD49, the light-weight portable MD55, and the medium-power MD52. JBL’s Marquis Dance Club Series is a state-of-the-art family of loudspeaker systems designed specifically for the Dance Club Market. ‘Martin by Harman’ also took the center stage with their entertainment lighting products — LED moving head wash light MAC Aura, pre-mixed color system RUSH MH 6 Wash, the powerful RUSH MH3 Beam moving head, and the innovative Atomic 3000 LED strobe.

HARMAN DJ Arena, the three day DJ contest brought together some of the renowned DJs from across the country under one roof. 9 artists — DK Skip, DJ Decisions aka Agam Walia, DJ Vm3 aka Vinod Mhetre, DJ monks aka Mayank Anand, DJ Valance aka Valance Paul, DJ Suhas aka Suhas Hiremath, DJ V-Tek, DJ Deepan D’Souza, and DJ Stetson — competed over the three days in a Battle of the DJs. Each day had a headliner act by well known names in the industry. DJ V-Tek from Delhi emerged as the winner of the battle, while IDA 2013 and DMC 2014 World Champion DJ Skip from Delhi was declared 1st runner up for Talent. DJ Deepan D’Souza from Mumbai won the 2nd runner up position for audience choice. The headliners for the three days were DJ Whosane! (31 June), DJ Nina & Malika (July 1), and DJ Brianoid & DJ Manasi Scott (July 2).
