Knight Frank, the global real estate consultants, celebrated the launch of the 10th edition of the 'Wealth Report' on April 2 at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai. Executed by Entco Media, the event concluded with a spectacular dance performance by Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Group.
The event was graced by His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent and Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur along with Princess Asha Raje Gaekwad and Pragyashree Raje Gaekwad of Baroda and Umang Huteesing of Ahmedabad. The evening further saw a host of well-known names from India’s corporate, business and entertainment industries including Ranjit Shahani (MD of Novartis ) & Indu Shahani (former Sheriff of Mumbai), Prasoon Joshi (CEO of McCann World group India and Chairman Asia-Pacific), Bollywood actors Shilpa-Shetty Kundra and Sachiin Joshi along with choreographer Terence Lewis, to name a few.
Commenting on the seamless execution of the event, Subramanian Iyer, MD, The Entertainment Company said, "This was a unique experience for us. We had to deal with 5 different clients for the same event and not only meet expectations in terms of designing and cost, but also importantly plan well to ensure every client had a separate servicing person attending to them. I think the team did a phenomenal job, first to ensure we win the multi-agency pitch solely on creatives. Second, we ensured we also got one of our existing clients to partner the event for mutual benefit, which helped the client reduce costs further. This ensured that the client went with us because we were doing more than what we were expected to do. With so many royalties and celebrities gracing the event, we ensured an impeccable execution."
The gala evening was hosted in association with various luxury brands, including Rolls-Royce (displaying their iconic models - Wraith & Ghost II Series), Mathieu Lustrerie (displaying two of their masterpiece chandeliers), DAG Modern and Anmol Jewellers.
On this occasion, DAG Modern also conducted an art auction featuring 50 works of Indian masters (47 out of 50 works were sold at the auction) with part of the proceeds being donated to charity partner, ‘Project Nanhi Kali’, an NGO working towards education of underprivileged girl children.
Shishir Baijal, Chairman & Managing Director, Knight Frank India said,”The Knight Frank Wealth Report has completed a decade since its launch on 2006. The report studies the movement of wealth and evolution of luxury trends in the past and forthcoming decades. India with its gradual increase in the number of Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs) has emerged as one of the bright spots in the world economy. Indian UHNWIs are going the extra mile to own their possession of passion may it be high-end ultra-luxury residences or jewellery, art and automobiles.”
The Wealth Report is Knight Frank’s research report that tracks the growing affluent population in 98 cities across 91 countries.
