Hats off to Nick Orton and his team for pulling off a successful show. Looking at the event IP from a business sense, Bodypower 2016 is clearly one of the finest fitness expos I have ever attended over the years. The finesse of execution, the brands participating, and most importantly, the visitors in attendance was spot on. With a combination of exhibition, conference and awards, this will be a must-attend event for all Indian fitness and bodybuilding enthusiasts every year.
 
The three-day show ran from Friday, 8th to Sunday, 10th January 2016 and turned out to be the largest ever, with an overall increase in square footage, competitions as well as its number of exhibitors and attendees at over 15,000 people. With an entrance fee of Rs. 2,000 for a two-day pass, organisers ensured quality attendance at the event. With specific gates for athletes, trade visitors and general public, the attention to detail by the organisers was a welcome change from so many public ticketed events.
 
The efforts undertaken by the marketing team to focus on their core segment of body builders and fitness enthusiasts through digital and PR has borne fruit, considering the attendance numbers. Moreover, with celebrities like Salman Khan, John Abraham and others flexing their muscles on stage with domestic and international bodybuilders definitely added to the glam of the event. 

With the fitness and bodybuilding industry growing year on year in the country and the awareness of fitness levels changing, the event IP will only definitely grow from strength to strength.
