BodyPower Expo 2016 Concludes in Mumbai; Salman, John Abraham & Zaheer Khan Among Celebrity Visitors

Setting a new benchmark for exhibitions in India, the third edition of BodyPower Expo concluded in Mumbai on Jan 10, 2016 with over 10,000 visitors streaming in despite a Rs.1200/person entry fee. The expo also saw participation from some of the most esteemed health & fitness brands, along with globally renowned athletes. Bollywood star Salman Khan made an appearance on the final day of the event to honour some of the specially-abled athletes who participated in the bodybuilding competition.
The annual BodyPower India Expo was held from Jan 8 - 10, 2016 at Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai. It was an opportunity for brands to gain exposure to thousands of health and fitness conscious individuals. With a large number of visitors from the industry, the expo also provided them a platform to deal directly with retailers, gym managers, group buyers, health centres, practitioners, personal trainers and distributors.
Day One of the Expo saw cricketer Zaheer Khan spearheading an inspiring session on ‘Bringing out the athlete in you’. A Zumba flash mob led by celebrity instructor Sucheta Pal captivated the attendees with highly energetic dance moves. Other sessions for the day were conducted by bodybuilding star athletes including Tom Coleman, Jaco De Bruyn, Sergi Constance, Steve Cook, Cedric McMillan, Zsuzanna Toldi, and India’s first figure athlete, Deepika Chowdhury. A first-of-its-kind ‘The gentle Giant: Live Workout’ was also conducted by John Lucas. The grand finale of the popular multi city fitness model hunt, Fit Factor India, was also held on the first day of the BodyPower Expo 2016.
One of Bollywood’s fittest actors, John Abraham made visited the expo on day 2 and shared his tips on fitness and sports with the fans. Five times Mr. Olympia, Phil Heath also spent some time with the visitors and led an exciting exercise routine.
The third day of the expo got to an inspiring start with Sham Singh Shera, a polio stricken bodybuilder who has won the Gold Medal in IFBB World amateur 2015 at San Salvador, USA among several other laurels. He curated an inspirational guest pose on knocking out obstacles in bodybuilding to boost the morale of youngsters aspiring to pursue the sport.
The final day had Salman Khan honoring some of the most talented specially-abled Bodybuilding athletes who participated in the fitness competition. The actor gave a heartfelt message to all the participants and inspired them to passionately pursue their dream.
