APCON 2015 was held from Dec. 3 to 6 at Le Meridien, Kochi. Attended by around 1300 delegates, the conference witnessed the Pathology community come together for discussions on restructuring Pathology education, simultaneous CME programs showcasing what is new and trending in every branch of Pathology, and other related topics. The conference also witnessed a special general body meet of the IAPM to discuss the revamping of the organization. All aspects of the conference were managed by Executive Events.

The conference housed national as well as international delegates. Conference registration involved the use of different categories of pathologists, making this task a challenge for the agency. APCON 2015 featured 400 poster presentations, around 200 on each day, and more than 50 oral presentations.

Other elements of the 2-day conference included a gala dinner, ‘Kerala fusion’ entertainment, traditional art forms, music, and more. The event agency also worked closely with Kerala Tourism to provide opportunities for sightseeing in and around Kochi.

On managing the conference, Raju Kannampuzha, Managing Director, Executive events said, “As pathology is a very demanding branch of medicine, it was a major challenge for us to handle the doctors. This was because a lot of the arrangements took into account the sub-branches of delegates. At the end of the day the outcome was very positive.”

Sponsors for the event included Meril Diagnostics, Transasia, Horiba Medical, Hamamatsu, and Agappe. This was the 64th edition of the annual conference of IAPM.

The 64th edition of the conference, held from Dec 3 to 6 at Le Meridien, Kochi, was managed by Executive Events.
