Monarch Cruise Promotes Luxury Cruise with Entertainment Featuring Cricket and Bollywood Stars

Monarch Cruise has announced the launch of a cruise experience that will bring together the cream of Bollywood and Cricket. The cruise will allow passengers to get up close and personal with their favourite cricket icons, Bollywood stars, world-class DJs and celebrated chefs. Departing from Singapore on March 6, 2017, the ship will course through Kuala Lumpur, Phuket, Penang, Colombo and Cochin before reaching Mumbai and retracing the route back to Singapore. The cruise will accommodate 2,200 people. What Monarch hopes to do is to give Indian passengers an experience that is exciting, luxurious and never done before.
An event management agency has not yet been appointed for this cruise featuring gala events, celebrity DJs, masterchefs, comedy shows, multi-cuisine meals, shore excursions at various destinations; Bollywood themed shows; international song and dance shows; and cooking and mixology shows.
The faces of this cruise are brand ambassadors Sachin Tendulkar, Brett Lee and Shane Warne. They will join hands with a host of sports and Bollywood icons including former Sri Lankan cricket captain Kumar Sangakkara; stand-up comic Vir Das; DJ Khushi; singers Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Neha Kakkar; actress Neha Dhupia; rapper Badshah; and famed chef Sanjeev Kapoor. More names will be added to this line up of entertainment to appear throughout the cruise itinerary either on-ship or at gala events.
On the conceptualisation of the event, Somesh Jagga, CEO, Monarch Cruise said, “The company prides itself on creating unique experiences. With this cruise we hope to achieve something extraordinary. Nothing else in India is bigger than either cricket or Bollywood. So what could possibly get bigger than this? We are thankful to all the sportspersons and celebrities who have chosen to partner with us.”
The cruise offers six itinerary options: 7 day Singapore – Colombo or Colombo – Singapore route; 7 day Colombo – Mumbai or Mumbai – Colombo route; and 13 day Singapore – Mumbai or Mumbai – Singapore cruise.
On partnering with Monarch Cruise, Sachin Tendulkar, who will appear at the Mumbai gala event, said, “This is such a unique concept and I am delighted to be a part of it. I’m looking forward to joining with many of my international cricketing friends as we bring a slice of cricket history to the fans in a way never seen before.”
Brett Lee added, “The Monarch Indian Cricket and Bollywood Cruise promises to be the ultimate tour for Indian cricket and movie buffs. I am looking forward to being a part of it as we cruise on the journey of a life time. ”
