Mahindra Mojo hosted a road trip from Pune to Pithampur for its employees from Oct 2 to 4. The trip titled ‘Mojo Tribe’ is symbolic of the bold journey the Mojo took from its prototype at the Research and Development centre in Pune to the final shape it took at the Production plant in Pithampur. The same employees who worked to bring the bike to the market were the first ones to experience its potential.  The mantle was held by 10 employees who drove over 10,000 kilometres cumulatively. The experience was conceptualized and executed by A for Pineapple.

On winning the mandate to manage the event and on the conceptualization of the trip, Annu Anand, CEO, AFP said, “Being challenging in nature, the project was bagged by AFP for its sheer prowess in conceptualizing and seeing through a ride which is the veritable dream of the testosterone-fuelled teen which lives in each and every one of us.”

On the execution and challenges faced, Arif Lohani, Lead Marshal for the ride, Team A for Pineapple added, “The safety of the people was our primary concern as these bikes are powerful and touch 150 kmph easily, so we took all precautions like initial briefing, list of do’s & don’ts , biking gear, paramedic, increased number of pit stops, etc. We tried to ensure that the people drive in a convoy which was monitored by the lead vehicle, and there was a last vehicle.”

The ride started off at the Mahindra Chakan plant in Pune. Anand Mahindra, CEO of Mahindra and Mahindra, showed up to flag off the event. Pit stops were set up every 80 - 100 kilometers en route. The ‘tribe’ rode from the Chakan plant through Karjat, to Igatpuri. Lunch was had at the Kinara village Dhaba, while the bikers spent the night at the Rainforest hotel in Igatpuri. AFP made it their priority to provide an authentic road-trip experience, but without compromising on comfort at any point. The next step of the journey was more about the ride and taking in the sights along the way as the tribe descended to the Aner Dam, where a picnic was organised. They then drove through Sendhwa in Madhya Pradesh, and spent the night at the Shree Garden Resort. The tribe was treated to a massage and champi by local masseurs. The final stretch of the ride was straight from Sendhwa to the production plant at Pithampur.

The road trip from Pune to Pithampur provided 10 Mahindra employees involved in bringing the bike to the market, the opportunity to first experience the bike
