Meet EEMAX Global Jury Members Chris Purnell, Vijay Subramaniam and Masaba Gupta

The EEMAX Global Awards 2015, which is set to take place on September 19 and 20 at the Taj Lands End Mumbai, will recognise excellence and honour the best events and experiential marketing projects from India and around the world. The jury is drawn from around the world and across fields and walks of life, to include international board leaders, Indian marketers and event industry leaders, as well as politicians and celebrities.  

Meet three of these jury members, all notable professionals in their respective fields, and an illustration of what the extensive jury looks like.

Chris Purnell, Director, Edinburgh Mela

As director, Purnell is responsible for delivering on all aspects of the Edinburgh Mela, Scotland’s leading festival of world music and dance. He is also a member of the Festivals Edinburgh board, which guides the collective efforts of the twelve Edinburgh festivals in co-coordinating policy in areas of mutual benefit. Purnell has spent three years as a partner and General Manager at Remarkable Productions, and prior to that was a director and co-founder of The Street Studios Ltd. in London's Shoreditch.

Vijay Subramaniam, MD - India and South East Asia, Bacardi India Pvt. Ltd.

Vijay Subramaniam was previously CEO of Kaya, the skincare arm of Marico Limited. He also headed the international fast-moving consumer goods business for Marico and was PepsiCo's marketing VP in India. Subramaniam began his career with United Breweries in 1991, and has been with Bacardi for the last 17 years.

Masaba Gupta – Fashion Designer

Masaba Gupta is an accomplished fashion designer from Mumbai, India who since July 2009 has been selling designer merchandise under the label 'Masaba'. She was the youngest designer to unveil at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2010, and is known for designing outfits for Bollywood actresses Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Mandira Bedi, among others.
