It was a Monday calculated to banish work blues. On October 20, several of the who’s who of Mumbai wended their way to the bylanes of Khar, for the grand re-opening of 5 – The Restaurant, that has recently relocated to Khar.  The new 5 offers a progressive, casual dining experience and comfort gourmet cuisine. The vibe was light-hearted with a scrumptious food and bar night where cocktails and appetizers flowed.

The restaurant had roped in singer Shibani Kashyap, who mesmerized the audience with a 25 minute live performance, that included many of her old popular numbers as well international chart busters.

Visitors for the evening included Rannvijay, Sanjay Gupta, Rohit & Manasi Roy, Parveen Dabbas & Preeti Jhangiani, Daboo & Vickey Ratnani and Naved Jaffrey.

The kitchen offers a contemporary rendition of European cuisine; wherein global favourites are infused with fresh local and seasonal ingredients. Featuring a stylish bar that accentuates rustic decor, offbeat lighting, decorative displays and artwork, the contemporary all day bar blends spotlessly with the restaurant's interiors. A great selection of beers, wines, fresh cocktails, margaritas and spirits, the new 5 is an ideal place for a laid back’ beer lunch, a get together after work or for a relaxed evening of jazz, sangrias and canapés.
