92.7 BIG FM and Mustraj presents BIG Bangla Movie Awards 2010

After receiving acclaim and recognition for ‘BIG Bangla Music Awards 2010' & ‘BIG Bangla Television Awards 2010', Reliance Broadcast Network's radio arm 92.7 BIG FM and its experiential marketing arm BIG Live joined hands once again to celebrate and promote regional entertainment with ‘BIG Bangla Movie Awards', the only existing exclusive platform for Bangla Movie viewers to recognize and honour their favourite Bangla Film personalities.

‘BIG Bangla Movie Awards' has been chaired by prominent jury names from the Bangla film industry including eminent director Bappaditya Bandhopadhyay, the eminent producer, Nitesh Sharma, exhibitor and distributor, Arijit Dutta and the supremely talented entertainer Anindya Chattapadhyay.

Viewers voted for their favourites via SMS as well as physical ballots. Voting was driven through an extensive multi-media campaign comprising Radio, Television, Cable, Ground Activation, OOH - Hoardings & LED, Print & Cinema Advertising.

A highlight and special feature of the BIG Bangla Movie Awards 2010 was to also confer the BIG Awards for the Best Performers of past Decade of Bangla Cinema, especially since this has been the decade of resurgence of Tollywood.

In a very special moment, SANDHYA RAY was awarded the BIG Bangla Movie Award for Significant Contribution to Bangla Cinema amidst a touching tribute by members of the Bangla Film fraternity.

The night was made even more special with scintillating performances by Arpita Chatterjee, the evergreen Jeet Ganguly, gorgeous Paoli Dam, chocolate boy Soham and Rahul & Priyanka.
