Mr.Ashish Gupta is the Director, Channel Marketing at BlackBerry, India leading the business prospective of the sales and distribution front. His primary role is to lead the India channel marketing team to maximize awareness, drive product demand, influence sales (consumer and enterprise), educate and motivate the carrier, retail and distribution partners.
With over 14 years of experience in Sales and Marketing within the Technology, Retail and Consumer Goods sectors, he leads thedevelopment and execution of the country go to marketing strategy and also works closely with all non-channel marketing functions to align BlackBerry's global propositions and Sales plans with key channels in India.
Ashish has consolidated an eclectic experience in Sales and Marketing basis his illustrious professional career in different sectors across the industry. He started his career with product sales and marketing roles at various companies like Samsung Electronics, Asian Paints and Thermax Limited after which he moved on to Arvind Brands Pvt Ltd where he set up the retail operations for Tommy Hilfiger in India. For the last 7 years, he was with HP (Hewlett Packard) where he worked across Product & Retail Marketing, Experiential Marketing, Telco Alliances and App Marketing, Channel Hygiene and LFR (Modern Trade) Sales. His most recent role was managing a $200mn Consumer Notebook business in HP.
Ashish holds a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA in Marketing from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon. He is married to Manika who is a hotelier by profession and they are blessed by a daughter Saanvie.
