Carrying the 14-year-old legacy forward, Fountainhead Entertainment once again crafted a ravishing experience at the Aditya Birla Awards for Outstanding Achievement 2015 which was attended by more than 2000 top, middle and senior management employees.
The three-day event started off with the WCM Jury Meet on Dec 9 at the Taj Lands End followed by the conference and the ABG Chairman, Kumar Mangalam Birla’s dinner at the hotel Sahara Star on the next day. The last day witnessed a chat with the Chairman Mr. Birla at the Trident, and the main awards night at the NSCI Stadium in which more than 150 awards were handed out. Fountainhead was given the charge of conceptualising and executing the whole event, right from designing the communication to stage fabrication, set designs, technical setup, show running, permissions, and artist management.
A panel discussion moderated by Harsha Bhogle took place on the first day with Boris Becker, Ravi Shastri, Baichung Bhutia and Roelant Oltmans as speakers. It also saw a speech by Benjamin Zander which was followed by WCM Awards interspersed with stunning performances of ABG’s Got Talent finalists. The Chairman’s dinner featured enthralling performances by Merlin and Rhys D’souza whereas Roy Zaltsman left the attendees awe-struck with his tricks. Aptly utilizing the ballroom’s width to advantage, the entire stage for the first day was set up end-to-end with 5 screens. This not only lent grandness to the entire setup, but also ensured clear visibility from every angle. The set design for the ‘Chat with Chairman’ session on the second day was inspired by a modern library, in which elements such as books, bulbs and wooden blocks on both the sides provided a vibrant look.
Setting the tone for the year and recognizing superior teamwork, this year’s theme ‘Bravura’ was revealed at the awards night by a world-class performance of an international artist troupe Cirque Du Soleil. The set design for the main awards night was inspired by an art deco style of set designing with bold geometric shapes as well as lavish ornamentation which represented grandness, glamour and luxury. A properly synced lighting effect enhanced the overall look of the setup which included seven LED screens used to project speeches, category stingers and live feed. One of the main highlights was a gigantic 20 feet self-rotating awards trophy which was installed outside the NSCI dome. Super selfie booths constantly engaged the guests at the pre-function area.
‘ONE ABG’, an initiative of Aditya Birla group, was launched by an unparalleled performance of Freckled Sky followed by an anthem for the group. A holographic projection of Late. Aditya Vikram Birla provided invitees with a moment to cherish. The night was high on entertainment with extraordinary acts by Omaggio performing company and Dfrenz which were especially dedicated to different business sectors of the Aditya Birla Group. The grand ceremony concluded with a rocking performance by the Bollywood star Akshay Kumar. The event was also broadcasted simultaneously through the company's internal server, to all the business centres of ABG spread across 42 countries around the world.
On the successful event execution, Rohan Salvi, Vice President - Business Development & Client Servicing (Events), Fountainhead Entertainment said, “Right from the stage of registrations to the conference, awards night and much more, the entire show was extensively planned for months. Keeping in mind the scale of the event, we ensured a seamless management of back to back live performances, awards, props and set requirements.”
The grand ceremony in Mumbai concluded with a sizzling performance by Akshay Kumar.
