Hyatt Hotels Corporation is an American international company and operator of hotels.
The Hyatt Corporation came into being upon purchase of the Hyatt House, at Los Angeles
International Airport, on September 27, 1957 by the founder Jay Pritzker. Their
subsidiary is collectively known as Hyatt Hotels.
Hyatt currently operates 24 hotels in India. The Hyatt Regency Chennai was the venue
for the World Chess Championship 2013, held for the first time in India, from November
9 to 28, 2013. Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the opening of Hyatt Place Pune/Hinjewadi
on January 30, 2015. This is the third Hyatt Place hotel to open in India, following
the 2012 opening of Hyatt Place Hampi in Southern India and the November 2014 opening
of Hyatt Place Gurgaon/Udyog Vihar in Northern India. Hyatt Place Pune/Hinjawadi
is has been awarded the ‘Best Debut Hotel’ by the Worldwide Achievers at the Business
Leader Summit & Awards 2015.
