Tourism Victoria roped in Seventy Seven to organise the longest lunch table at the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival at Grand Hyatt Feb. 25.
The lunch table stretched 550 feet and was designed in the shape of a curve. To enhance the look of the table, around 55 canopies were fabricated with translucent drapes. The event witnessed 500 people such as theatre personalities Divya Palat and Aditya Hitkari, pop singer Suneeta Rao, and business tycoon Adar Poonawala, to name a few.
The menu for the ‘Melbourne Food and Wine Festival lunch debut in Mumbai' was designed by Adam D'Sylva, Executive Chef and co-owner of Coda, Melbourne, and celebrity chef of MasterChef Australia; in conjunction with Jean Christophe Fieschi, Executive Chef, Grand Hyatt Mumbai.
The lunch commenced with a press conference followed by a performance by David Malek. A multiple camera setup was arranged to capture Malek's offstage interaction, providing everyone an opportunity to watch him live as well as on screen. As a part of the setup, plasma screens lined the venue, playing AVs that spoke about the culture and attractions of Melbourne.
Commenting on the event, Huzan Fraser, Indian Representative, Toursim Victoria said, "Seventy Seven did a commendable job of organizing the setup and overlooking the entire event."
Speaking about the association, Aditya Mehra, Director, Seventy Seven said: "It was a pleasure to work with Tourism Victoria and an honour to be a part of this record breaking event. I have been associated with Tourism Victoria through a personal contact."
The activity was a part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
