This global day of activity is designed to promote the brand's ‘Live Life To Discover' advertising campaign, which will go live in Asia this month. The global ‘Get Out & Discover' initiative was created to bring the brand's first-ever global advertising campaign to life for travellers. Launched in April, the ‘Live Life to Discover' campaign was created to provoke today's lifestyle-oriented business travellers to explore a hotel or destination's hidden gems. The campaign asks today's modern business traveller, "If you are travelling to a destination for business, why not make the most of your free time and discover something exceptional and unique?"
Commenting on the campaign, Tina Edmundson, Senior Vice President, Lifestyle Brands, Marriott International said: "It's not everyday a hotel brand encourages its guests to ‘Get Out'. The Renaissance brand is all about discovering something new. We want to create unforgettable memories for travellers. ‘Get Out & Discover' is our way of bringing discovery to life for guests, allowing them to explore the best of our hotels and their destinations." The multi-million dollar global advertising campaign is currently running in 32 countries and can be found in key lifestyle, business and travel print media, as well as out-of-home sites in China and India.
Some examples of events which took place simultaneously at Renaissance Hotels around the world as part of the "Get Out & Discover" initiative on June 7 are the RLife LIVE Events, wherein over 50 Renaissance Hotels invited guests to discover unique musical and other artistic experiences onsite at select properties by hosting RLife LIVE events in destinations including Shanghai, Beijing, Bangkok, New York, Hong Kong, London and Paris. The RLife LIVE events featured exclusive musical performances by local emerging artists.
Additional Renaissance Hotels also encouraged guests to discover the best of their destinations through local retail partnerships, unexpected activities and unique local culinary experiences. In Mumbai, the Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel organized a tour for their guests to the local Mumba Devi Temple, where they gained in-depth knowledge and insight into the history of this temple and Mumbai. After the holy visit, patrons were treated to an authentic Maharashtrian breakfast. The hotel presented the guests with a souvenir to remember the experience. In addition to this tour, the hotel served some indigenous, quirky and unique cocktails and mocktails at A-Bar, made with local ingredients.
