The cake was designed with Tendulkar's childhood pictures and 100 people whose first name was Sachin were invited from all over the city to cut the cake. The youngest from among the 100 Sachins was just one month old.
About 3,000 people attended the event. Former cricketer Rajesh Chouhan, and Vidarbha Cricket Association chief Prakash Dixit, along with Nagpur Mayor Anil Sole, commemorated the occasion.
Commenting on the initiative, Kartik Kalla, National Programming Director, Radio City 91.1 FM said: "At Radio City, we firmly believe in connecting with our listeners in every way we can. With innovation at its peak, this unique event was our way of honouring Sachin Tendulkar's unique feat on his birthday, and bringing all his fans from across the city together.
