Speaking about the launch of the headquarters in Delhi, Kasiviswanathan said: "Picanol has been successfully serving the Indian market since 1956. In view of the potential and expected growth of the Indian market, Picanol decided to set up its own organization in India in early 2008 in order to more actively support its local activities. Our group head quarter is in Ypres, Belgium. Delhi is the Head quarter of Picanol India Pvt. Ltd."
Approximately 75-100 people from the textile industry, press and the company's clientele attended the event. The theme followed was an amalgamation of blue and white, which was featured prominently in the décor. A red carpet welcome with a band of bagpipers stationed at the entrance proved for a great guest reception. Basic branding elements such as standees, a backdrop, Picanol tags, and branding on the main gate and entrance setup were used. The event was initiated with lighting of the lamp, followed by chief guest speeches. Then came the final inauguration, which was done by Reynders. A tour was organized for the attendees to have a sneak peak of the new office premise.
Commenting on the challenges faced, Vijay Arora, Director, Touchwood Entertainment said: "To change the rough empty space in a conference setup was a challenging task. The space where the event needed to be executed is a bare DLF office space with no ceiling and no flooring. Three days before the event, the ceiling and the flooring work was started to give it a smooth and conference setup look."
Speaking about Touchwood Entertainment's selection, Kasiviswanathan said: "We made a website search and took references from local sources and based on good feedback, we chose Touchwood Company. They successfully organized the whole event and did a great job. We are very happy with their contribution on this event hosting."
Special gift hampers were given out as a token of appreciation to the guests.
