Nokia Music Connects, the Indian Music Forum, is a venture between Music Matters - a Hong Kong based company and Indiantelevisiondotcom Group. The event is a conference for the Indian Music Business professionals, which will be held at Taj Lands End, Mumbai on September 1 and 2, 2010. An in-house event management team of the Group is managing the event.

 

Anil Wanvari, Founder and CEO, Indiantelevision.com said, "This year mark the second edition of Nokia Music Connects. Last year, the conference was just for a day whereas this year it has been extended to two days, where we have developed a three-module structure for the conference. One is ‘World to India' module, second is the ‘India to World' module and finally ‘India to India' module. There will be around 60 speakers at the event across both the days; several performances are also scheduled throughout the course of the conference. It is an invitation-only event and around 700 people are expected to attend the same. There was a special welcome party for select people and speakers at Hard Rock Café Mumbai on August 31. An exclusive VIP closing party will also held at Blue Frog on September 2."

 

The two-day conference will comprise of a series of high-powered panels formed of key industry executives, who will dwell on and discuss pertinent issues facing the music industry in India. Speakers at the various panels include regulatory heads, music label honchos, advertising gurus, event managers, artiste managers, corporate heads as well as top-notch creative professionals from the music industry, from both India and abroad.

 

Some subjects that will be covered at the conference include Live Music industry, music licensing, monetizing piracy and effective anti-piracy models, brand regional music and other genres, mobile and digital business in India and the role of media, among others.
