In its ninth edition, the Mirchi Kaan Awards plan to get bigger by bringing on board radio guru Tony Hertz, who will conduct a seminar on the art and craft of radio advertising. The theme for this year's event is 'Listen. Learn. Shine'.
Commenting on the initiative, Sriram Kilambi, Marketing Head, Radio Mirchi said: "This year is all about getting back to radio basics. We have roped in Tony Hertz, who is perhaps one of the most influential personalities in radio today, to do a seminar with the copywriter community as a part of this year's Kaan Awards."
Categories for this year's awards are Automotive and Accessories; Services for the Household sector; Sports, Entertainment, Travel and Leisure; Media; Charity Fund Raising Events; Retail Outlets; Fast Food Restaurants; and Best Sound Design; among others.
Afaqs and The Comedy Store are partners for the Kaan Awards. The event will be promoted through Radio Mirchi, which has a reach of four crore people every week. In addition, the property has bought space for advertising on digital media portals, namely Afaqs, exchange4media, Campaign India and Best Media Info.
