Thyme managed the Fashion Connect 2010 for DLF Promenade in Vasant Kunj, Delhi on November 27. The management at DLF Promenade regularly organises different events to support the retailers and gratify customers. ‘Fashion Connect' as an event was conceptualised to re-emphasise DLF Promenade's leadership as a one-stop destination for international fashion and iconic brands. The idea was to invite elite customers of leading brands of the mall and showcase the seasons' collection at new stores.

Commenting on these initiatives, Pushpa Bector, Vice President and Mall Head, DLF Promenade said, "We at DLF Promenade constantly look at innovative ways to enhance our customers' shopping experience. DLF Promenade is the retail haven of the world traveler and the ideal destination for shopaholics who want to indulge in some serious retail therapy. The show was an attempt to reach out to the masses and provide a platform where the fashion- and trend-conscious can view the latest collection by top international brands. Participating brands included Marks and Spenser, Promod, Esprit, Celio, Ecko, Charles & Keith and Inglot. Last year's successful ‘Fashion Forward' show urged us for another run this season and we plan to make this our annual property."

Deep Bajaj, Head Alliances, Thyme Advertising and Services added, "We had executed ‘Fashion Forward' for Promenade last year which was very successful and hence, we were called again this year to manage the event. Operating in a dynamic surrounding like a mall, one has to pay a lot of attention to setup positioning, height and layout of the stage from a safety, security, emergency exit and other retailers' point of view. Hence, in consultation with Ajay (choreographer), a special cross shape ramp was made to give maximum mileage to brands and seating area for customers."

The show was presented in two slots. The first half had collections by Promod, Charles & Keith, Celio Esprit and Echo. The grand finale featured Marks & Spencers with 4 sequences starting from casual wear and ending with an exclusive collection. Other than leading models, the highlight of the show was when the CEO of M&S walked the ramp with his wife and customers of M&S. Leading Choreographer Ajay Bisht handled the show for all brands.

The show was followed by a classy post-event party for 100 VIPs (included models, brand heads) at Mocha Art House.
