Big FM to engage audiences on-ground to promote new jock Raju Srivastav
Thu 25 February 2010
In a bid to increase its humour quotient, Big FM has brought on-board comedian Raju Srivastav as the morning jockey for the Mumbai station. To promote the new positioning, the channel has adopted a multimedia campaign which includes on-ground activation at high footfall areas like malls, multiplexes and other youth hangout joints.

Sailesh Bijlani, Cluster Head-Maharashtra and Goa, Big FM, said, "Raju Srivastav is almost iconic, and with his inimitable brand of humour and unique style of delivery, he is loved by people across the country. By getting him on board, we are offering our listeners a great combination of Vrajesh and Raju which promises to keep listeners in splits as we increase the humour quotient. The programming has been intended keeping the listeners' requirements in mind that will work well on a daily basis to ensure delight."

The campaign with Srivastav breaks with 'Sone ki Baarish', whereby listeners of Big FM will have a chance to win gold coins each hour of the day, in addition to being treated to a liberal dose of humour. The on-ground connect with listeners will see promoters dressed in the comedian's attire and masks at high footfall areas, where they will distribute chocolates in the form of gold coins.
