The Baajaa Gaajaa music festival seeks to showcase the diverse and varied musical heritage of our country. Speaking about the objective of the festival, Aneesh Pradhan, Director, Underscore Records, and co-Director of Baajaa Gaajaa with Shubha Mudgal said: "This music festival addresses the diversity of music and hence, features all kinds of music. Each year, we try to feature music that we haven't included earlier. Some of the evening performances are specially curated and will premiere at the festival."
The three-day music festivities will feature approximately 40 performances across three different performance areas by a range of artistes from across the country and overseas. Some of the artists include Adil and Vasundhara, Arjun Verman, Avyakta, Ben Walsh, Bhimanna Jadhav, Bobby Singh, Chintan Upadhyay, Dhruv Visvanath, Dilip Das and group, Highway 61, Manipur Drummers, Marc-Inti Maennel Saavedra, Max Clouth and Pandurang Pawar, among others.
The Baajaa Gaajaa Music Conclave will have four panel discussions that will include an engagement between musicians, composers, authors and technology experts.
The festival will be inaugurated by poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar followed by performances by three bands - Adil and Vasundhara from Delhi, Pink Noise from Kolkata, and Soulmate from Shillong. Furthermore, there will be a celebration called Dhamaal: A Celebration of Drumming and Percussion styles.
The event will draw a cross-section of audiences including musicians, scholars, students of music, authors, instrument makers, and gurus, and will engage around 10,000 people. The event has created awareness of the festival by promotions through hoardings, advertisements and newspaper write-ups.
Shedding some light on the execution of the event, Raghav Roy Kapur, Director, Livewire Events said: "We are responsible for the entire production, on-ground execution and coordination of the event. We will create a very ethnic look and feel into the event. We have worked with Baajaa Gaajaa in the past and were selected on the basis of our credentials. "

The sponsors will benefit through branding visibility at the venue, on hoardings, in newspapers and magazines and through advertisements. The graphics for the festival are specially designed by Red Earth, PR and social media activity are handled by Moe's Art, sound will be provided by S&L Professionals, and lights will be provided by Jyotirgamaya.
