All Things Nice launches Wine Week in Mumbai

All Things Nice launched a new initiative called Wine Week for the first time in Mumbai. Scheduled to take place from Feb.11 to 17, the wine festival will reach out to different eatery locations in Mumbai. The platform aspires to offer wine aficionados a chance to indulge, experiment and savour a wide selection of wines.

Speaking about launching this platform, Nikhil Agarwal, Sommelier and Director, All Things Nice said: "We are looking for ways to get people to experiment with wine or give them an opportunity to try different styles of wine and enjoy them with fine cuisine. This has been on our mind for quite some time and we thought now is the right time to launch the All Things Nice Wine Week. There is nothing like this for wine in India and cannot be compared to any other platform whatsoever."

The focus is to celebrate wine and not just a particular wine brand. The festival aims to teach the right pairing of food with wine and encourage experimentation. Agarwal wants to enable the habit of drinking good wine without thinking about the associated costs.

Each of the restaurants hosting the festival will cater a specially created menu that will feature signature dishes along with wines that suit the cuisines. All Things Nice will also conduct a series of Masterclasses during the wine week. The classes will be held for a small number of guests in select few joints. The classes will teach about the nuances of good food and wine.

Speaking about introducing new properties and promoting the brand along with the cause of wine, Agarwal said: "Consumer awareness, top end food and beverage experiences and education have always been the core of what we believe in. These properties are designed to celebrate food and drink and by doing so we promote wine, cognac, single malt or whatever it is the property is designed for. We love food and drink at All Things Nice and want to share this love and the knowledge we have acquired. For All Things Nice there is a deep sense of satisfaction knowing that we have provided people with an opportunity to indulge and we hope that these same people will associate fine food and drink with us."

A number of restaurants have come on board to partner the event such as Indigo, Busaba, Olive bar and restaurant, Shiro, Mezzo Mezzo, Pali Village Café, China House, Vinotecha, etc. Commenting on these associations, Agarwal said: "We have as partners the biggest names in the hospitality industry and of course BBC Good Food Magazine and its sister magazines from the WWM media group. We have received tremendous encouragement from all our partners and almost unanimously they all agreed immediately to partner since they too believed in the cause and thought it was the right time to launch this property."

The Wine Week is being promoted through media tie ups, PR exercises, hospitality partnerships and personal invites to their subscriber base. Visitors can pick over 1,000 wines at any of the partnering outlets. Interested participants can register on the website and save a seat for themselves.

All Things Nice has partnered with all the top restaurants in the city to host the event.
