News report of Aerosmith's visit to India inaccurate
Thu 10 May 2012
A recent report in the newspaper DNA (Daily News & Analysis) states that legendary rock musician Aerosmith might be roped in to perform in India. According to the report, there is a "buzz" going around that Aerosmith will be coming down to India to perform at the first edition of a major music festival to be held in Pune.

However, EVENTFAQS contacted Aerosmith's agent who has rubbished the report, clarifying that the artiste will not performing in India this year. Aerosmith is expected to be touring the U.S. this year. The artiste's agent has also mentioned that they had never been approached about this.

The DNA article attributes the information to "an insider from the organising team" of the Pune music festival, which is a joint venture between actor Arjun Rampal and Shailendra Singh, Joint Managing Director, Percept Ltd. While the article doesn't provide the name of the music festival, the festival in question is most likely ‘Lost', which was announced in April. The music festival is expected to take place from Nov. 23 to 25.

On attempting to contact Shailendra Singh for clarification on the DNA news report, there was no response as Singh was said to be traveling and unavailable for comment.
